Tian Fu in the Travel Palace
Tian Fu is the Southern Emperor and treasury star, ruling over stability and conservation; its transformed energy is Command. In the Life Palace it brings integrity and a talent for safeguarding wealth.
Summary
Tian Fu in the Travel Palace means benefactors support you away from home and you stand firm wherever you go; don't read Tian Fu as merely guarding the family purse. You suit stable fields like finance, government and banking; Zuo Fu and You Bi bring step-by-step promotion, Di Kong and Di Jie bring losses on the road. With Lian Zhen or Wu Qu you can earn in busy places; Wu Qu with malefic stars attracts disputes abroad, and Lian Zhen with Qing Yang, Tuo Luo and other malefics calls for great caution on long journeys.

Core reading
With Tian Fu in the Travel Palace, the Complete Book opens with "Tian Fu going out meets benefactors' support," meaning that away from home you easily meet people who help you; it goes on to say that sharing a palace with Lian Zhen and Wu Qu, you can make money in crowded, bustling places and succeed at big business. So going out isn't just about stability; you're also more likely to meet people willing to give you a hand — don't read Tian Fu across the board as only guarding the family fortune. You're suited to developing in steady industries such as finance, government and banking, and your family assets are protected even away from home. Volume 1's "On Whether a Person's Chart Has Artistry" has a poem: "Tian Ji and Tian Xiang in the Life or Body, the emperor's command and the wealth star entering the tomb; if Tian Fu dwells in the place of movement, one will surely do remarkable work all one's life." Besides Tian Fu in the Travel Palace, both conditions — "Tian Ji and Tian Xiang in the Life or Body" and "the emperor's command and the wealth star entering the tomb" — must be met before it speaks of remarkable work; Tian Fu in the Travel Palace alone is not read by this line. Meeting Di Kong and Di Jie, you easily lose money when away; meeting Zuo Fu and You Bi, you are promoted step by step.
